Plastic is everywhere, literally everywhere. It’s in your clothes, your food, your refrigerator, your face wash, and everything in between. Plastic was invented to last forever, or way longer than any human life anyways. So, once you make it, there is no going back. How many people, though, are making it? How many millions of pounds of plastic is created every year? How much could we possibly not create?
When will enough be enough? You don’t have to listen to science, political figures, or sixteen year old girls to determine what your stance is on the environment, but you can look around. You can go outside, take a walk, a drive. Look of photos of beaches, streets, and sinkholes across the world. You can come to your own conclusion, or listen to others’ opinions, but something needs to happen. When will the plastic be too much for you, when your kids can’t escape it’s effects? When your pet is harmed by litter? When will everyone step up to make sure we never get to the point of breaking a camel’s back with a plastic straw?
